Taylor Lautner’s Tips for a Fit Body
Taylor Lautner, the handsome actor portraying Jacob Black in the New Moon sequel has revealed recently for Interview magazine the effort he had to make in order to get the fitted body that we all spotted when both the official poster and some fan-made ones came out.
According to the magazine, the actor started to train after the shootings for the Twilight saga came to an end and was motivated by his desire to be in shape for the part of the werewolf he plays in the sequel of the vampire-flick, Twilight: “As soon as I finished filming ‘Twilight,’ I knew I had to get to work right away; there could be no waiting involved. The day I finished ‘Twilight,’ I came home and started bulking up. For ‘New Moon,’ I’m 30 pounds heavier than I was in ‘Twilight,’” stated the 17-year-old hunk.
As for his training schedule, he confessed it was initially quite though: “I was in the gym five days a week, two hours a day. At one point, I was going seven days straight. I had put on a lot of weight, and then I started losing it drastically, so I was worried. It turned out I was overworking myself.” The teen star admitted to have resorted to the help of a personal trainer and he advised anyone to do so when determined to stay in shape or to lose weight.
Taylor confessed he had some trouble with the diet imposed by his trainer and that it was quite a challenge to stick to it: “The hardest thing for me was the eating. At one point I had to shove as much food in my body as possible to pack on calories. My trainer wanted me to do six meals a day and not go two hours without eating. If I would cheat on eating one day, I could tell, I’d drop a few pounds.”
Reportedly, his good looks charmed Selena Gomez as well since the two of them were often spotted hanging out and hugging in Vancouver on the sets of Ramona and Beezus, Selena’s new movie.
