Spoiler Alert: Teen Choice Awards 2009 Winners

tcaThe highly-anticipated summer event, Teen Choice Awards was held last night at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City. As expected, it was star-studded and among the celebrities that hit the red carpet were the Black Eyed Peas, Gossip Girl’s heartthrob Chace Crawford, Hayden Panettiere, Brenda Song, Britney Spears, Twilight cast members, Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers who were both hosts and performers.

As predicted, the winner of the night was the vampire-movie Twilight which managed to gather no less than 11 awards ranging from choice movie drama, romance to kiss, rumble and soundtrack. Moreover, Twilight stars Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattison forming one the hottest onscreen couples both grabbed individual awards. Kristen was awarded as the movie drama actress and Robert took home two-surfboard shaped awards, one for movie drama actor, another for male hottie. Ashley Green and Taylor Lautner picked awards for female and male fresh faces on screen whereas Teen Choice Movie’s Villain was Cam Gigandet.

Miley Cyrus also received a great number of awards as the winner at the following categories:  TV Show Comedy and TV Actress Comedy for Hannah Montana, Movie Actress Music/Dance for Hannah Montana: The Movie, Music Single with “The Climb” and summer hit and duet with the Jonas Brothers.

Coming in as no surprise, the Jonas Brothers left the ceremony with five trophies, comprising the Choice Male Red Carpet Icons category. The pop-rock band, Miley Cyrus, Black Eyed Peas were also among the stars that performed and ensured a spectacular atmosphere for the fans.

The CW drama couldn’t miss the list of winners, therefore, Chace Crawford, Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick snagged the following awards: TV Drama Actor, Actress and Villain.
